According to China Central Television CCTV 2's "Zhengdian Finance", with the development of the low-altitude economy, the position of drone operator has stood out in the recent autumn recruitment in many places. According to relevant departments, the employment talent gap for this position in China is as high as 1 million.

CCTV took Luo Xikun, a former food delivery rider, as an example. After passing the drone pilot training exam, he successfully transformed into a drone pilot. At present, Luo Xikun is mainly responsible for testing drones and collecting route information. He participated in the testing and development of 18 drone delivery routes.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China revealed that as of June 2024, the number of drones registered with real names nationwide has reached 1.875 million, the number of drone operating enterprises has exceeded 14,000, and the number of drone pilot licenses has exceeded 225,000. From January to June this year, the total flight time of civil drones nationwide has reached 9.816 million hours, an increase of 134,000 hours over the same period last year.

Technological innovation is a key factor in the rapid development of drones in China. Chinese drone companies have made continuous breakthroughs in flight control systems, navigation and positioning technology, image recognition and processing, and other fields, making Chinese drone technology gradually lead the world trend.
