Xiaopeng Huitian Flying Car Intelligent Manufacturing Base officially started construction in October 2024. This is the world's first flying car factory that uses modern assembly lines for large-scale mass production. It will be used to produce the flying body part of the split flying car "Land Carrier", with a planned annual production capacity of 10,000 units.
In September 2024, the first Type Certification Committee (TCB) meeting of Xiaopeng Huitian's "Land Carrier" flying body X3-F aircraft (X3-F is the internal code) was held in Guangzhou, marking the full entry of X3-F into the airworthiness review stage.
The "Land Carrier" is divided into two parts: the land body and the flying body. The flying body is an electric six-axis six-propeller aircraft. The main structure of the fuselage and the blades are made of carbon fiber materials, which take into account high strength and light weight. The 270° panoramic cockpit provides users with a wide flying field of view. The flying body of the "Land Carrier" supports both manual and automatic driving modes. Xiaopeng Huitian pioneered a single-lever control system, which allows even zero-based users to easily master flying skills. In the autopilot mode, it can achieve one-button takeoff and landing, automatic route planning and automatic flight, and has multi-dimensional intelligent air perception obstacle avoidance assistance, landing vision assistance and other functions.
The "Land Aircraft Carrier" is scheduled to start pre-sale at the end of 2024.
