Wang Haoze was born in Luanping, Hebei in March 1990.
Wang Haoze, female, Manchu, born in March 1990, native of Luanping, Hebei, member of the Communist Party of China, lieutenant colonel in the army, fourth-level astronaut of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Astronaut Brigade, and astronaut of Shenzhou 19.
In 2008, Wang Haoze enrolled in the Energy and Power Engineering major of the School of Energy and Environment of Southeast University. In December 2009, he joined the Communist Party of China. In 2012, he studied for a master's degree in thermal engineering at Southeast University.
In 2015, Wang Haoze obtained a master's degree in thermal engineering from Southeast University; in the same year, he entered the Beijing Institute of Aerospace Power and engaged in the overall design of new rocket engines. In September 2020, he was selected as one of China's third batch of astronauts, and after a comprehensive assessment, he was selected as a member of the Shenzhou 19 manned flight mission crew. In January 2021, he joined the army. In 2023, he was selected to join the crew of Shenzhou 19, and he will perform the mission with Cai Xuzhe and Song Lingdong.
In October 2024, after research and decision by the General Command of the Space Station Application and Development Phase Flight Mission, the astronaut crew for the Shenzhou 19 manned flight mission will consist of three astronauts, Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze, with Cai Xuzhe as the commander; on the morning of October 29, Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong, and Wang Haoze met with Chinese and foreign media reporters at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center.
Wang Haoze's father is a traffic policeman and his mother is a middle school teacher. His mother's words and deeds taught Wang Haoze that he must work harder since he was a child. It was with this energy that Wang Haoze's academic performance has always been among the best, and he was admitted to the Thermal Energy and Power Engineering major of Southeast University that year.
Wang Haoze likes running. He joined the school track and field team in college and represented the school in the provincial sports meeting, laying a good physical foundation for becoming an astronaut.
