At the meeting, Richard Yu said that MAEXTRO, a joint venture between Huawei and JAC Motors, will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show next month and will be launched in the spring of next year. It is a high-performance car priced at more than 1 million yuan.

Richard Yu also said that the 5G penetration rate of passenger car mobile networking will only be 10.7% in 2024, and the networking of automobiles will seriously lag behind the development of 5G communication networks. It is recommended to accelerate the deployment of 5G in vehicles, which has great strategic value. Richard Yu also said that L3 autonomous driving is expected to be commercialized as early as next year, and it is recommended to speed up the legislation of relevant standards. According to him, Huawei ADS 4.0 will launch high-speed L3 autonomous driving commercialization and urban L3 autonomous driving pilot in 2025.

MAEXTRO is a car brand jointly developed by Huawei and JAC Motors. On May 20 this year, JAC Group announced that the luxury smart new energy vehicle jointly developed by JAC Group and Huawei will be launched soon. Subsequently, Richard Yu , Executive Director of Huawei, Chairman of Terminal BG, and Chairman of Smart Car Solutions BU, also revealed that the car model jointly developed with JAC may be worth millions of RMB , which is very high-end.

Richard Yu once revealed: "We are far beyond the level of Maybach and Rolls-Royce Phantom. We are more luxurious, high-end and comfortable than them. We are very high-end. JAC is positioned as ultra-high-end, STELATO is positioned as high-end sedan, and LUXEED is positioned as broad mid-range and mid-to-high-end, which means cars that a wide range of people can afford. AITO mainly focuses on SUVs."
